Summer may be wrapping up, but that doesn't mean the fun has to end! In fact, the fun is just beginning at First Baptist as we kick off our fall schedule - including Awana - with a celebration! There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, popsicles, water slides, and bounce houses. Our student ministry will even have an escape room! Best of all, everything is completely free! We look forward to seeing you on August 20 at 6 pm!
We know Christmas may be the furthest thing from your mind, but First Baptist is already working hard in preparation for this Christmas season! We invite you to come in from the heat and get a glimpse of the Christmas season at our annual Unwrapping Christmas event. If you are interested in being a part of the First Baptist music ministry and helping lead the Mountain View community in an amazing Christmas experience, then this is the perfect event for you! You're invited to a great time of fun, food, music, games, and simply hanging out together as we celebrate the beginning of the fall season! Bring a couple of your favorite potluck items to share with everyone! Due to ongoing repairs from spring storms, this year's Fall Fellowship will take place at the Mountain View Baseball/Softball Park's pavilion and fields. We can't wait to see you on September 7 at 4 pm!
There really is nothing that goes together better than a cool night and s'mores around a warm fire. When you combine those things with the laughter of children, a little bit of music, and families hanging out together, you have the perfect recipe for a wonderful time with family and friends. Our Awana children will be sure that everyone has plenty of s'mores, but the night won't be complete without you! See you in Washington Park (the Pickin' Park) on October 22 at 6 pm!
There is nothing like warm and delicious food on a beautiful fall day! On your way to or from all the activities of Mountain View's annual Bean Fest, stop by another annual tradition - First Baptist's Potato Bake! You can enjoy a large baked potato with all the fixings, a bowl of homemade chili, a homemade dessert, and a beverage (coffee, tea, or lemonade) for only $10. We look forward to seeing you in October!
First Baptist is so excited to partner with the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce for this year's Community Trunk or Treat! We look forward to seeing you for some family-friendly fun, costumes, and LOTS of candy! Contact the church office to find out how you can help with this community event!
Before all the craziness of the holiday season begins, make plans to join your First Baptist family for a Church Family Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, November 9 at 5 pm. The dinner will be potluck style, so bring your favorite holiday dish to share with everyone! We know the holiday season can be incredibly busy, but we can't wait to enjoy somoe great food as a church family while we remember all the incredible blessings God has poured out upon us!
There is something beautiful when the various churches in a community come together to thank God for the grace, love, and mercy he has poured out upon us! We invite you to join us for the Stone County Ministerial Alliance's annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 23 at 6 pm hosted by Foothills Baptist Church. As part of the service, there will be a canned food drive to benefit the work of Dorcas House food room. After the service, there will be a time to hang out and connect with one another over coffee and cookies.
We are excited to partner again with the Independence Baptist Association and Send Relief for a mission trip to Ponce, Puerto Rico on February 14-20, 2026. Details are being finalized, so we do not have an anticipated cost. Spaces are already becoming limited! If you would like more information, please contact Jason Ingram at the church office.
We have families too so we understand that coordinating everyone's schedule can be difficult at times. We wanted to make staying connected to the church calendar as easy as possible. Below you will see events from the First Baptist Church Calendar. These events are synched in real time with our office calendar so you will have access to the most up to date information possible. This is just one more way that we are striving to help you connect with Jesus and with others.
