Jesus has a funny way of turning everything upside down. We expect Him to be impressed with strength, but He calls us to come to Him in weakness. We expect outward success to matter, but He is concerned with our hearts. So much of what matters to us seems to matter so little to Jesus. So much of what we spend our lives chasing after really doesn’t seem to have a place in the Kingdom of God. We don’t have to be confused or overwhelmed because Jesus didn’t leave us to simply guess what would please Him. In fact, in the very beginning of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus revealed the character of the Kingdom to us in eight simple verses. These eight Beatitudes reveal to us the characteristics of those who are approved by God. In these eight simple verses, Jesus reveals the character of those who are blessed.
On Sunday mornings beginning April 23, we invite you to join us on a journey to better understand and live out the character of the Kingdom in our lives. Join us as we discover what it really means to be blessed!
