No matter how strong our faith may be, constant challenges and consistent persecution can make it very difficult to follow Jesus as closely as we know we should. Fortunately though, this struggle is not unique to us. Christ-followers throughout the centuries have struggled to stand firm in the face of challenges and persecution. In fact, the letter we know as 2 Thessalonians was written by Paul to encourage and strengthen the believers in Thessalonica to stand firm in their faith no matter what they faced. Paul’s encouragement can also help us to stand firm in the faith we share with those early believers in spite of all the challenges we face.
You are invited to join us on Wednesday nights at 6 pm beginning January 9 as we learn to stand firm in our faith as we study 2 Thessalonians.
